Bug: Footnotes with single link don't appear

Footnotes that are links don’t appear. For example:

[^1] [Mobile Retail: Almost Half European Shoppers Use Smartphones for Impulse Buys](http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/mobile-retail-almost-half-european-shoppers-use-smartphones-impulse-buys-1450177)

Will appear as a blank line with a subscript ‘1’ at the start, but no link. If I put an extra space before the link, then it appears.

FT Version 2.0.2 (738), OS X Yosemite v10.10.1.

Hum… took me a long time to figure this out… but the problem is that your syntax is a bit off. You should insert a “:” after the [^1] to make it into a Footnote.

What’s happening in your example is that the above text is actually being recognized as a inline reference style link. For example from the Markdown docs:

This is [an example] [id] reference-style link.
