# Calculation on equal sign?

Hello FT enthusiasts,

I am slowly feeling empowered. That’s cool.  
Before I invest into programming, I’d like to ask if someone went into the restore of the “equal sign triggers calculation” function which was there in FT2? I found this very very practical.

The `.math` mode for a paragraph seems “too big” to me. I want to make (small and elementary) calculations along text and that seemed incompatible with lots of parsing errors.
