Hi all,
I’m encountering frequent crashing of Folding Text in macOS High Sierra. It usually happens when I start FT, especially when double clicking an FT document. The crashes typically happen when FT has started and starts reading the document (as it appears). Then you get the dialog window macOS presents with Ignore/Report/Restart buttons.
I’ll update this when I have more details to add. Will there be an update of Folding Text soon?
I am seeing a lot of crashes also. Sometimes when a document has been open for a while and nothing is being done in FT.
Would like to know also if there will be an update and of course if others are seeing it.

Hi Guys and Gals – I had same issue with crashes of recent. Solved this by temporarily deactivating all plugins and putting back in one at a time until I identified 2 that were causing crash.
I didn’t check yet if there were updated versions of these but these were my culprits:

Updating my previous post. I have no plug-ins installed. FT keeps consistently crashing when I open a document from the Finder (mostly) of from the menu in FT. Often when I open docs I see only the top paragraphs and after 10 seconds or so I see the rest of the text; while waiting for the rest of the text I see the spinning beachball. That also happens (sometimes) in other apps. Once FT is up and running for more than ±10 seconds I have no crashes.
I suspect this is connected to the APFS file system in High Sierra. And hopefully there will be an update. FoldingText is one of the gems in my app-toolbox…
I’m seeing the same behavior since the 10.13.4 update. I don’t have any plugins installed in FT and never saw crashes previously.

Hello, dear developers FoldingText.
FoldingText continues to regularly exit with an error message. I have amassed history from thirteen failures of work.
On average, the program breaks down once a day. This fact grieves.
Just upgraded to 10.13.5 and FoldingText won’t even manage to open a new blank document, was running fine before on previous OS.
EDIT: Seems the plugins may be to blame I had the following:
jmk_panel.ftplugin
filter.ftplugin
change document expansion level.ftplugin
Copy Visible Text.ftplugin

My operating system was updated around 8 or 9 June. On June 10th, I receive a crash application. This is Crash №9. Now I continue to use Mac OS X 10.13.5 (17F77). Now I have a crash №17.
The last fall together with itself resulted in a loss of information. I do not intend to endure it any longer. I removed FoldingText, I will demand back money paid for the license and use stable products.
