Is there a way to hide Tabs?

Continuing the discussion from Birch 1.0.0 “Dev” release:

There is, but it’s a bit hidden away.

  • Atom > Preferences
  • Then click on “Packages”
  • Search for “tabs” package
  • Click the “Settings” button for the “tabs” package.
  • And then you’ll see option to only show tabs if you have multiple documents open.

Related, you can also hide the status bar at the bottom of the window. There’s no keybinding set for it by default, so you’ll have to issue the command through the command pallet:

  • Shift-Command-P
  • Type “Status Bar”
  • And you should see command to toggle the status bar.
